International Education & Global Engagement

T he Assistant Vice President for International Education and Global Engagement assists the Provost and the Division of Academic Affairs to develop programs that help the campus achieve the full potential of its rich international connections. 

The Center for International Education assists students in the pursuit of Education/Study Abroad opportunities, handles the recruitment, admissions and advising for over 1200 international students, and is home to GLOBE, a student learning community with an international focus.   

The Center also provides services to CSULB faculty, such as help in organizing short-term study abroad programs, in applying for grants, scholarships and awards, and in developing linkages with universities across the world. 

The Assistant Vice President for International Education and Global Engagement works broadly to advance the global mission of CSULB in such areas as internationalizing the curriculum, organizing programs for faculty development, and participating in internationally-related fund raising and development.
