Obsolete Policy

POLICY ON DECLARATION OF MAJOR

This policy was recommended by the Academic Senate on May 15, 1997 and approved by the President on July 15, 1997.

For timely completion of graduation requirements, all students should declare a major before completing 60 units. Students who have completed 75 or more units shall not be permitted to register for classes until they have officially declared a major. Entering transfer students who have completed 75 or more transferable units will have one semester in residence to declare a major.
