POLICY STATEMENT 86-08
April 25, 1986

This academic policy was recommended by the Academic Senate on April 14, 1986 and received the concurrence of the President on April 25, 1986.

Subject: UNDERGRADUATE GRADE POINT AVERAGE REQUIREMENTS

The grade point average standards of Section 40402 of Title 5 of the California Administrative Code requires undergraduate students, at graduation, to have completed the following with a grade point average of at least 2.0:

1. All units applicable toward a degree, including those accepted by transfer from another institution,

2. All units in the major, and

3. All units attempted at the campus granting the degree.

In addition, all students receiving a baccalaureate degree from California State University, Long Beach shall be required to have earned at least a 2.0 grade point average in:

4. All courses in the major completed at the C.S.U.L.B., and

5. All upper-division courses in the major completed at C.S.U.L.B.
