SUBJECT: CERTIFICATE PROGRAM IN OUTDOOR STUDIES
The following policy statement, recommended by the Academic Senate
at its meeting of December 11, 1980, and approved by the President
on January 16, 1981, is as follows:
The program is designed to develop leaders who can proved safe
and challenging situations for individuals seeking self-fulfilling
experiences in outdoor environments. The program of study
will enable the student to acquire appropriate knowledges and skills,
and to develp a personal philosophy reflecting understanding and
participants in outdoor activities.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CERTIFICATE IN OUTDOOR STUDIES
1. Certification in cardiopulmonary resucitation
and first aid.
