SUBJECT: MINOR IN AMERICAN STUDIES
The following policy statement, unproved by the Academic Senate at it meeting of December 4, 1975, is approved as follows:
A minimum of 18 units, including American Studies 300, 490, and 498. Additional courses shall be chosen from the following list (from at least two of the categories). Appropriate courses in departments and areas not resented below, such as Women's Studies and Ethnic Studies, may be substituted with the written approval of the program director. Some of the following courses have prerequisites:
a. English 370A, 370B
b . History 476A, 4766, 477A, 4778
c. Art 413A, 4136, Music 393
d. Geography 306; Philosophy 304, 316; Political Science 375
