Members Present: Aguinaya (Library), Chen (Educational Psychology, Administration and Counseling), Henriques (Science Education and Chair), Harbinger (Arts), Mulvaney (Test Services), Naimpally (Chemical Engineering), Novack (Institution Research) Saint-Germain (Public Policy, Assessment Coordinator), Santhiveeran (Social Work), Whitney (Psychology), Wiley (FDC), Findlay (Student).
- The meeting was called to order by Henriques, Committee Chair.
- Approval of Oct 24, 2002 meeting minutes - moved and approved. Janaki Santhiveeran is selected as the day's secretary.
- Training Assessment Committee members to do assessment workshops: Michelle Saint-Germain offered Workshop I. The packet was put together very well to walk the members through the content. Sample objectives and how to connect objectives with the purpose of each requirement or product, the product (outcome of the course) and evaluation criteria were discussed. Michelle Saint-Germain emphasized the importance of connecting Accreditation standards with the program and course objectives.
- Assessment Coordinator's report: Michelle Saint-Germain presented two workshops for grant recipients; Distributed assessment activities to college coordinators. Assessment coordinator is coordinating with FDC and ACS in the grant proposals. Assessment Coordinator is targeting select audience by sending Travel grant memos to Dean
- Revising CSULB campus assessment documents: The committee intend to revise campus Assessment Document (last adopted in 1994-95) in the upcoming meetings.
- Program Review Committee Assignments were shared and discussed. Volunteers were sought to serve on the review committees.
