Approved minutes of April 26th.

Report from the Assessment Coordinator
- Travel requests totaling approximately $8,000 were received in response to the most recent call. Additionally, funds were requested at the College-level for the following:
- Health and Human Services — requested funds to hire a consultant to assist in planning of a College-wide retreat focusing on assessment issues.
- Business — requested funds for the development of a Baldridge-based assessment and application for the newly instituted California Prospective Award.
- All requests were approved, thereby reducing the remaining funds in the 2000-2001 budget to near $0.
- Saint-Germain expressed willingness to provide consultation regarding development of Assessment Grant proposals prior to the June 8th deadline.

Discussion of the latest version of the white paper on assessment
- Several corrections were made to include issues addressed in the last Minutes, including:
- Recommendation #2: Add "during the coming academic year (2001-2002)" after the word "second"
- Recommendation #3: Delete the phrase following the semicolon.
- Under "Need for These Recommendations", Delete the phrase following the semicolon
4. Discussion of the perceived Strengths and Weaknesses of each of the 5 candidates for Assessment Coordinator. Lacourse to forward our comments to the Provost.
Next meeting: Monday, June 18th at 2:30 to discuss Assessment Grant proposals
