Today, public institutions of higher education are being asked to clarify the value they add to society. In 2001, the CSU system developed a system of accountability indicators for all campuses. Every two years, CSULB reports on progress made on these indicators. Most of the information for these reports is derived from periodic program reviews and the annual report on assessment of each degree program.
