The Campus Assessment Committee is calling for applications for funding to attend assessment meetings, workshops, or institutes during the 2003-2004 academic year. A listing of some future meetings has been posted at http://www.csulb.edu/~senate/assessment/Conferences.html on the Assessment web page; the application form is also available on the Assessment web page.

Application may be made by all faculty. Staff involved in assessment may also apply. Complete the application and send it to Michelle Saint-Germain, Coordinator for Assessment and Program Review at msaintg@csulb.edu , or through campus mail to the Assessment Office, Faculty Center for Professional Development, Library 5 th floor. If you have any questions, please call Michelle at x55383 or call Dolores Robles at x57094.

Due to the large volume of requests in comparison to the funds available, the Assessment Committee will give priority to applicants as listed below. However, every request will receive full consideration, so please don't hesitate to apply.

-have newly assigned assessment responsibilities

-are making a presentation at the event

-have not received any prior assessment funding

To fund as many travel grants as possible, the amount of each grant may not cover the entire cost of the trip. The Assessment Committee urges applicants to also apply to other sources of funding. Travel that occurred in Fall 2003 or that will take place in Spring or Summer 2004 (up to June 30) is eligible for a travel grant.
