Tracking
The trustees of the California State University have established
rules (see Executive Order
665) for placement of entering students into appropriate Mathematics
and English classes. In addition they have set timelines for
completion of any required remedial/developmental course.
The PASS counseling program monitors
your progress in these preparatory English and Mathematics courses
that are required for entrance into Freshmen-level English composition
and/or Mathematics courses. Our goal is to be sure that you are
making progress and completing these classes as stated in the CSU
remediation policy. If placed into the preparatory classes, you
must enroll into these courses each semester until your receive
credit and you are required to complete the remedial requirement
within one year. If you have not successfully completed all required
preparatory course work by the established deadline, you will not
be allowed to enroll in courses at CSULB for subsequent semesters.
Even if you have already registered for classes, you can be disenrolled.
