We offer drop-in tutoring for
Tutors are available specific hours each week so that you can come in and get help during the times that work best with your schedule. You can come in for five minutes or stay as long as a tutor is here! This flexible option is great if you want to have some built in study time with our friendly peer tutors! The Drop-in Tutoring schedule will be updated by the week of January 26, 2015.

You pay only a one-time fee of $50.00 per subject each semester for unlimited use of this service. Some campus programs cover tutoring fees. Contact us for more information.
If you need assistance tailored to meet your personal needs, we offer individual tutoring for many courses on campus. Individual appointments let you work one-on-one with a tutor at a pre-arranged time inside our center. Typically, individual appointments are scheduled once a week. This fee-based tutoring is scheduled as semester long, consecutive weekly appointments where you are pre-paying for blocks of five 50 minute tutoring sessions.
There is a $65 fee for five 50 minute sessions. Some campus programs cover tutoring fees. Contact us for more information.

You must always call the LAC front counter (562) 985-5350 to cancel an individual tutoring appointment. In order for your cancellation to be excused, you must give us at least 4 work hours of notice. Please refer to the contract you have received from your tutor during your first session in regards to our policies.
What policies must I follow for individual appointments?
The first time you meet with your tutor, they will go over the LAC Tutorial Services Contract with you and discuss our policies and expectations. You will be given a copy of this Contract to take with you. Please use the link below for copies of these contracts.
Individual Tutoring Referral Contract - for students referred by a campus program (such as DSS, VETS, or PFS), which pays their tutoring fee(s).
Individual Tutoring Fee Based Contract - for students who pay their own tutoring fee(s).
