Erik Jahner My area of research is in the applications of neuroscience to instructional methodology. My B.A. in Linguistics and my current M.A. in Linguistics have acted as tools to guide me in a research driven critical approach to university instruction. I pay particular attention to the development of conceptual structure, metacognitive awareness, and motivation in university students. I am gravely concerned by the use of neuromyths which are used as support for outdated and unsupported academic approaches and have devoted my energy to resolving this discrepancy. My society memberships include Society for Neuroscience (SfN) and the International Mind, Brain, Education, Society(IMBES). |
