- All Majors are welcome. English, Linguistics (esp. TESL), Bilingual Ed, foreign language, or Communication Studies preferred.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA. Must have passed the WPE.
- Three letters of recommendation from professors.
- Native-like fluency in standard oral & written English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must know English grammar rules and have the ability to teach it to ESL students.

- Meet with ESL students individually or in a small group to enhance students' English conversation skills, grammar and fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, idioms, and application of these skills to academic tasks (oral and written).
