What are some reasons that keep me from registering for a course?

Several reasons can keep students from registering for courses. For example, freshmen cannot register for upper division courses, #300-499, without instructor permission. There may be a "hold" on a student's registration for advising or for a balance due. In addition, students may not have taken the pre- or co-requisite courses needed in order to register.
