can do so when they:
- Have completed a minimum of 90 units which may include work-in-progress
for the current term.
- Have attempted the WPE.
- Have filed a Major Program Planner if the major catalog year
is Fall '87 or later (except Business, Psychology, and Liberal
Studies majors).
You may locate more graduation information at the CSULB Enrollment Services web site.

Graduation checkups
The Academic Advising Center hosts small group workshops for seniors
Mondays through Fridays at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. If you need a checklist to see if your requirements have been met, if you need help preparing to file for graduation, or if you have questions about your degree progress report, come in with other seniors who have the same questions.
Bring a copy of your Degree Progress Report, Transfer Credit Report, and an unofficial copy of your transcripts (all available on my.csulb.edu) to the workshop and an academic advisor will review these documents as well as the Bachelor's Degree Worksheet with students. Individual attention is often available.

Graduation Green Light Project
Creative Solutions to Graduation at CSULB
If you have been out of the University for more than one year, you should know we have successfully helped hundreds of students return and graduate from CSULB.
We want to help! The Academic Advising Center will support your
renewed efforts to earn your degree.Your progress to graduation begins with the following five steps:
Step 1 - Gather your transcripts from ALL of the schools that you have attended. Any document we can use to reconstruct your academic progress is valuable. Include all university, junior college, university extension, or trade/vocation school work you have completed. Any other records are also useful such as:
- old grade reports
- old Degree Audits
- old Degree Progress Summary
- old Summary of Transfer Credit
- Writing Proficiency Exam test results
- GE Certification
NOTE: If you attended CSULB before 1988, order transcripts from CSULB Enrollment Services because these records are not available electronically.
Step 2 - Print the Bachelor’s Degree Worksheet – This worksheet lists the 15 requirements the University uses to evaluate progress to graduation. Complete the Bachelor’s Degree Worksheet to check your progress towards graduation. Use this worksheet to help you determine what graduation requirements you are still missing. For example, do you need major or General Education course(s) or General Education courses? Do you need to pass the Writing Proficiency Exam? Do you need total units, or upper division units, or units in residency?
Step 3 – Begin the graduation reactivation process with CSULB Enrollment Services. Obtain reactivation paperwork. Pay close attention to filing dates and fees. Respond promptly to requests for additional paperwork, including sealed transcripts, etc.
Step 4 – Contact your major advisor for a new program planner. Your major requirements or academic goals may have changed or you may wish to declare a new major. If so, contact your new major department for a new program planner.
Step 5 – Submit reactivation paperwork and graduation fees to CSULB Enrollment Services. Submit any additional coursework completed (official transcripts or General Education Certification) to Enrollment Services after you reactivate graduation.
