Second Semester Freshmen Advising

"Do I need to make an advising session appointment?"  Yes! Advising is one of the most important steps to your future success at the Beach. The University feels so strongly about insuring that you have advising as you prepare for your sophomore year that all freshmen are required to participate an advising program prior to registering.

Students who have not declared a major or are not certain about an academic program should attend general advising sessions offered by the Academic Advising Center. These sessions will be held at the Academic Advising Center (located in Horn Center, room 103) or at the University Student Union Ballroom (see the schedule below).

If you are considering a specific major but want more information, you should sign up for an advising session offered by the College/Department associated with the major in which you are interested. Just find the College to which your academic program of interest is assigned and follow instructions to attend one of their advising sessions.
