CSULB ERFA's first trial special interest group lecture
and field trip will take place on November 20, 2009, at
9am
beginning with an illustrated lecture by Dr. Ingrid Aall
in the CSULB library, room 305 which is located at the
west end of the student reading room. Her topic is "The
Buddhist Credo and its Art."
At 10:30 am we will take a bus to the Hsi Lai Temple, 3456 S. Glenmark Dr., Hacienda Heights. Upon arrival we will enjoy a vegetarian lunch at the temple. You will have ample time to visit the bookstore and gift shop. At 1:00 pm Dr. Aall will conduct a guided tour through the temple, highlighting architecture, places of worship, the museum, and the theme park. We will return to campus around 4:00 pm.
The total cost for this trip (lunch and transportation) is
$32.00 per person. All retired CSULB personnel and their
guests are invited to participate. We have reserved a 31
seat bus so we need to know as quickly as possible if you
are planning to attend. We will accept the money on the
