Outdoor Recreation Resources
Students may only pursue the certificate program in combination with a CSULB degree program.
Core Requirements
Take all of the following:
- REC 427 Legal Aspects of Leisure Services (3)
Prerequisites: A grade of "C" or better in REC 325.
- REC 430 Recreation in the Ocean Environment (3)
Prerequisites: Consent of instructor.
- REC 431 Recreation Resource Management (3)
Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better in REC 141, 225.
Take six units of the following:
- REC 337, 490 or 590 [approved by certificate advisor 3-6 units], 499
Additional courses:
Take 6 units of elective courses from biology, geology, geography or environmental science and policy which must be taken with approval of certificate advisor.
