All students must show evidence of having registered for FE exam prior to graduation.

The above 4-year roadmap assumes that a student does not claim GE waiver (3 or 6 units). Consult with GE advisor regarding possible GE waivers according to your GE catalog year.

The new degree progress rule states that transfer students must complete MATH 123, PHYS 151, and CHEM 111B within one year after transfering to CSULB

Note: courses shown in bold are Chemical Engineering core courses.

  • * waived for transfer students
  • **MICRO 200 or BIOL 200 "double count" to meet both B1a GE requirement and can substitute for CHEM 251.
  • ***CHEM 327 (3 units) plus 4 or 5 units of Science classes with lab componentmay be substituted by
    • (1) CHEM 320A&B (total 8 units) , OR
    • (2) CHEM 322 A/B and CHEM 323 A/B (total 8 units)
  • **** Any GE Economics class may also satisfy approved ECON reqquirement.

The total unit counts from all courses listed above is 134. After double-counting units and possible waiver units are substracted, the total number of units required for the degree becomes 128.
