Minor in Applied Mathematics

Requirements
The Minor in Applied Mathematics is available to any student not majoring in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
The student must complete 27 or more semester units as follows:
Lower Division:
- Take all of the following courses:
- MATH 122 Calculus I (4)
- MATH 123 Calculus II (4)
- MATH 224 Calculus III (4)
- MATH 247 Introduction to Linear Algebra (3)
Upper Division:
- Take all of the following courses:
- MATH 323 Introduction to Numerical Analysis (4)
- MATH/STAT 380 Probability and Statistics (3)
- Take one of the following courses:
- MATH 364A Ordinary Differential Equations I (3)
- MATH 370A Applied Mathematics I (3)
- Take one course from the following:
- MATH 364B, 423, 470, STAT 381, or 482.
The student may replace MATH 123 and 224 by MATH 222 and an additional course from MATH 364B, 423, 470, STAT 381, 482 not used to meet the above upper division requirements.
