Create and Manage Your FTP / Personal Web Space

A CSULB FTP / Personal Web Space provides 25mb of space on CSULB's servers.  To add content to your personal website you must first create HTML files on your computer. Once you have created the files you must upload them to CSULB's FTP server.  Once you upload the files you can access your personal Website by going to http://www.csulb.edu/~username (where username is your FTP / Personal Web Space username).

SECURITY WARNING! YOUR WEB ACCOUNT WILL INCLUDE A FOLDER CALLED "HTDOCS." NEVER PLACE DOCUMENTS OR FILES CONTAINING ANY UNIVERSITY, EMPLOYEE, OR STUDENT CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION IN YOUR HTDOCS FOLDER. Anything you place in the htdocs folder can be viewed by anyone visiting your website! Contact the Information Security Management and Compliance Office at (562) 985-4862 with questions about your information security management and compliance responsibilities and your campus web site.

If you need assistance with creating your account or uploading files please contact us and one of our Support Representatives will assist you.
