The campus has purchased a site license for Symantec Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition The term is from March 29, 2002 to March 28, 2005. The license is for 4,000 campus nodes / installations. The license includes both Windows and Macintosh platforms.
Managed (Campus Use) - Department and College computer support staff are available to install the product in campus offices. Faculty and staff should check with their computer support staff to have the Norton Anti-Virus program installed on their office computers.
Unmanaged (Home Use) - Not currently available.
How long can you keep the Software?
The license is perpetual, which means that faculty and staff can continue using the last distributed version after the license term has ended.
Student Use?
The license does not include student use. The campus is reviewing its options for student anti-virus protection, but at this time students should purchase a personal copy of an anti-virus product to protect their files.
