Set Up Your iPhone to Receive E-mail
- On your iPhone, click on the Settings icon and then select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Click Add Account... to continue
- Select Other from the account type screen
- Next, click Add Mail Account
- Enter in your Name, e-mail address, and your e-mail password
- Input the following incoming mail server information (IMAP):
For BeachMail:
- Host Name: pod51008.outlook.com
- Encryption Method: SSL
- Username: (your BeachMail email address; firstname.lastname@student.csulb.edu)
- Password: (your e-mail password)
For WebMail:
- Host Name: smtp.csulb.edu
- Encryption Method: None
- Username: (your Webmail username; jsmith, for example)
- Password: (your e-mail password)
- Input the following outgoing mail server information (SMTP):
For BeachMail:
- Host Name: pod51008.outlook.com
- Encryption Method: TLS
- Username: (your BeachMail email address; firstname.lastname@student.csulb.edu)
- Password: (your e-mail password)
For WebMail:
- Host Name: smtp.csulb.edu
- Encryption Method: TLS
- Username: (your Webmail username; jsmith, for example)
- Password: (your e-mail password)
- Click Save
- Finally, you will receive a message saying "Cannot Connect Using SSL, Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?
- Click Yes
