| Begin by going to My Computer on the desktop. Next, click on the Control Panel to the left of the window. |
| Once there, click on Network and Internet Connections . |
| After the next screen comes up, click on Network Connections . |
| The new window might contain some previous connections that you might have. Click on Create a new connection on the left side of the window. |
| This will bring you to the start of the New Connection Wizard . It will walk you through step by step on what to do. |
| In the list of options choose Connect to the Internet - Connect to the Internet so that you can browse the Web and read email. |
| Choose Set up my connection manually |
| Click on Connect using a dial-up modem |
| ISP Name : Putting in CSULB is a good choice. |
| When it asks you for the phone number put in 985-3500 . If you are calling from outside the 562 area code you should put in 1-562-985-3500. *Note : Long distance charges may apply if you are outside of the 562 area code. |
| Next, it will ask you for your username and password . If you do not have one, you may create one for yourself at the Namemaster website , or by going to the THD Walk-In Service Center located at the North Campus Center. It is recommended that you turn off the Internet Connection Firewall as it may restrict access to certain websites. |
| Now you are done! It would be wise to check the box to add a shortcut on your desktop , this way it will be easily accessible in the future. |
