Windows 98/ME - Remote Connection

Click on: START > Programs > Accesories >Communications > Dial-Up Networking

*NOTE This splash screen will only show up when Dial-Up Networking first run.


Double click on 'Make New Connection'
Double click on 'Make New Connection'

Name the connection. Click on ' N ext >'

Name the connection. Click on ' Next >'
*NOTE Putting CSULB would be a good choice


When it asks you for the phone number put in 985-3500

Highlight 'CSULB' and click the right button of the mouse, and select 'P r operties'

Check only boxes for: 'Enable software c ompression', 'TCP/IP'

'Enable software compression'
'TCP/IP'
Click 'OK'.

Enter your Username and Password, Click Connect
Enter your 'User name'
and your 'assword'
Click on 'Connect'.
