In Outlook Express, select Tools -> Accounts...
Click on the Add button and select Directory Service...
For the Internet directory (LDAP) server: type in ldap.csulb.edu and check the box that says "My LDAP server requires me to log on" then click Next.
In the Account name field, type in uid=username,o=csulb. Then type in your password in the Password field and click Next.
Select Yes from the question "Do you want to check the addresses using this directory service?" and click Next.
Next, click Finish.
Go back to Tools -> Accounts... if you aren't already there. Single click on the ldap.csulb.edu account and select Properties.
Go to the Advanced tab and type in 636 for the Directory service (LDAP) field. Place a check mark on the box that says This server requires a secure connection (SSL) and click Apply then OK.
Next, go to Tools -> Address Book...
With the Main Identity's Contact selected, click the Find People button.
Select ldap.csulb.edu from the Look in: dropdown menu. Then, type in the name of the person you wish to find in the Name: field and click Find Now.
