In Outlook Express select Tools -> Accounts...
Select Add > Mail...
Display Name: Enter your name
Click Next >
E-mail address: enter your email address
Click Next >
Select IMAP (If you would like to use POP, refer to POP3 or IMAP)
Incoming mail server: imap.csulb.edu (If you want to use POP, the server is popmail.csulb.edu )
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: smtp.csulb.edu
Click on Next >
Account Name: your CSULB Internet Account username
Password: your CSULB Internet Account password
Click on Next >
Click on Finish
Select the account you just created (imap.csulb.edu or popmail.csulb.edu)
Click on Properties
Goto the Servers tab
Make sure My Server requires authentication is checked
Goto the Advanced tab
For Outgoing mail (SMTP): enter 587
When done click on OK
