Microsoft Entourage

Entourage > Account Settings

After opening Microsoft Entourage, go to Entourage > Account Settings


Account Preferences

On this window, select Mail from the drop down menu.

Choose Mail from New menu


choose IMAP as the account type

On the "New Account" dialog box, select IMAP under Account type. If you would like to use POP, please see POP or IMAP.


enter all account details

On the "Edit Account" box, fill in your information.

  • Account Name: This is how you will refer to this account. CSULB should be sufficient.
  • Name: your name; others will see this when receiving your messages.
  • Email Address: enter your username@csulb.edu
  • Account ID: enter just your username
  • IMAP Server: imap.csulb.edu (for POP Server, enter popmail.csulb.edu)
  • Password: enter your CSULB Internet Account Password.
  • SMTP Server: this is to send mail: smtp.csulb.edu

then click the button for "additional sending options"...


Enter SMTP port 587, and authentication

Fill out the window as shown, and put in the same username and password for your email.


Error

If you recieve an error message such as above, please make sure you recheck the information typed in.


Send & Receive

After you have completed all the steps, go back to main program, and click on "Send & Receive" if the mail hasn't been already received.


CSULB Email

You will now see "CSULB Email" on the left side bar. Within this folder, you will find "Inbox" folder, this is where all your incoming emails will be located.
