Instructors and staff may conduct live meetings with colleagues via Academic Technology Services' (ATS) video conference room in AS-114. The ATS conference room uses the Lifesize video conferencing system. The remote site must use a similar system such as a Lifesize, Tandberg, or Polycom. Our equipment facilitates live transmission of video, PowerPoint, DVD, CD, and documents via a document camera. We can connect up to five additional meeting sites at one time. There are no charges for instructors and staff to use the video conferencing facility. The room seats up to 20 participants comfortably.
A video conference technician is designated to set up and assist in facilitating the conference. Contact the technician via email or phone at (562) 985-4962. The video conference moderator must work with the technician to set up and begin the video conference(s).
To assure a successful video conference, please request your remote collaborators contact their technical staff at their location to obtain room availability, equipment type, and type of access. To ensure a successful video conference experience, we will conduct a video conference connection with the remote site(s).
The video conference room is located in the Academic Services building (AS) 114 in Academic Technology Services office and seats approximately 20 participants.
