Getting Started with BeachBoard

Students may find their course syllabus, lecture materials, assignments, discussions and possibly grades if the instructor has posted them.

BeachBoard Basics

  1. Login to BeachBoard with your MyCSULB campus ID and password.
  2. Under My Courses, click the course you want to access.
  3. Click the links on the left side of the page to access the course documents and tools
  4. If you see the word “unavailable” to the right of the course’s name, that signifies that your instructor has not yet made his or her course available to the students.
    • It is not uncommon for some instructors to plan on using BeachBoard for the course but to accidentally forget to make their courses available to the students. If your instructor informed you in class that he or she will be using BeachBoard but that instructor’s BeachBoard course is still unavailable, please contact your instructor.
