Technology Service Desk automatically creates a new BeachBoard course for every course each term, but you need to manually make your BeachBoard course available so that your students can see and access your course content. Courses that are not currently available to your students show the word "unavailable" next to those courses' titles under My Courses.

Your course is now available to your students. You will need to repeat this process for each course you wish to make available.
Q: Do I need to make my BeachBoard course unavailable at the end of
the semester?
A: No. Technology Service Desk automatically makes all
BeachBoard courses unavailable and disables student access to those
courses approximately two weeks after the end of the semester.
Q: If my BeachBoard course is made unavailable two weeks after the
end of the semester, how will my students be able to view their grades?
A:
Students can view their official University grades in MyCSULB.
Q: If a BeachBoard course is unavailable, does that mean that I can
no longer access it?
A: No. BeachBoard courses remain available to
instructors for up to two years. It is the instructor's
responsibility to archive, download, and print out the gradebook.
Q: Can I make a course from a previous semester available again?
A:
Yes, but it is not as simple as you manually making your old course
available. Because Technology Service Desk automatically makes all
BeachBoard courses unavailable
and disables student access
to those courses
approximately two weeks after the end of
the semester, you will need to ask Technology Service Desk to re-enable the
students in your previous semester BeachBoard courses before those
students will be able to re-access your old BeachBoard course content.
