POSITION: Part-Time Lecturer
EFFECTIVE DATE: Fall
Semester August 27, 2007/ Spring Semester January 28, 2008
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: MA,
MFA, MPH, or RN in relevant discipline, including but not limited
to Women’s Studies, History,
English, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Cultural Studies,
Health Sciences, Political Science, International Studies.
Candidates must have the potential for successful college-level
teaching in Women’s Studies and must be familiar with
feminist principles. The applicant must have the ability to
communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse
campus community.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D.
or equivalent advanced degree in Women’s Studies or in
a related discipline. Evidence of successful teaching experience
relative to assignment.
Preference for those whose training and experience best qualify
them for the course(s) to be taught.
DUTIES: Teach
one or more courses including, but not limited to, those listed.
Availability of specific assignment contingent
on enrollment and lecturer’s specialization:

Women’s Studies 102 Women in Contemporary Society

Women’s Studies 401I Women in Global Perspective
RANK AND SALARY: Commensurate
with training and experience; probable range for one 3-unit
course, $, $628-700 in six monthly
installments.

letters of recommendation; official transcript from institution
awarding highest degree.
