Download the competitor form here.  This Excel spreadsheet should include all students competing (according to school limits).

The following is due Friday March 9, 2012:

  • Completed registration forms.
  • Signed Rules and Regulations form.
  • $100 non-refundable school fee.  Please note, this should be submitted as soon as possible to hold your place in the competition, as spots are allotted on a first come, first served basis.
  • $10-per-student non-refundable fees.  Please keep track of when all checks are mailed in case we need to confirm.
  • $5-per-non competitor fee, for anyone who will be attending but not competing (teachers excepted).
  • Each participant will need to complete a Photo Release Form.  Any student who does not fill out this form may not be permitted to compete
  • Proof of insurance for your school district (General Liability Coverage, covering damage to rented premises, medical expenses, personal injury).  Please include your school name with the proof of insurance, as many schools fall under the same district.
  • Weapons & Properties Approval Form.  All prop weapons brought to the festival must be checked in by TheatreFest staff and recorded on paper.
  • After March 11, no new students may be added.  Only replacements for pre-registered student who can no longer compete will be accepted.

Students can compete in the following categories: Comedic Monologues, Dramatic Monologues, Comedic Scenes, Dramatic Scenes, Musical Theatre Solo, Musical Theatre Scene, Musical Theatre Ensemble, Improvisation, and Technical Theatre.

Each student is allowed to enter a maximum of two performance categories as well as two design categories.  Musical Theatre Ensemble will not count towards the two performances, e.g. students may compete in the Musical Theater Ensemble, two other performance categories, and two design categories.

The maximum permitted entrants per school for each category is firm: one entrant for musical theatre ensemble and improv, three max entrants for all other performance categories, and unlimited entrants for tech.  See attached Excel sheet for sign-up form. Do not write outside the boxes with any additional entries.  Form must be submitted electronically.

If you have any questions about the registration process, please contact TheatreFest 2012 Coordinator Mira Greene at longbeachtheatrefest@gmail.com for more information.
