Initial Meeting/ Timeline for Projects
All statistical
consultations begin with a free initial meeting. This meeting includes
the new client, a graduate student consultant, and a faculty member of
the Statistical Consulting Group (SCG).
The initial meeting is a chance to get acquainted and
for the SCG staff to become familiar with your research. In this
meeting, we work together to develop a common vision of what needs to
be done. This helps us to provide you with accurate price estimates.
It is very helpful to us if you bring background material, relevant details, and data, if available.
After analyzing the data, the SCG will meet with you to
explain the results in a way that you can understand. The SCG will
also supply you with a report that details the statistical methods that
were used to arrive at those results.
Software packages used by the members of the SCG include:
- SAS, SPSS, Minitab, MATLAB, MS Office, SQL
- EViews, Stata, Enterprise Miner, Statistica
