(Note: Many companies match donations, so you can double or even triple the impact of your gift by filling out a matching gift form from your employer.)
Welcome to the CSULB Applied Statistics Program. We have many graduate students in our MS Applied Statistics MS Program. In addition, we have a Bachelor's Option in Statistics, and a minor in statistics. There are 7 statistics faculty members in the Department. The campus, located in a residential area of Long Beach, is near many companies hiring statisticians. In addition, it is approximately 3 miles from beautiful beaches of the Pacific Ocean.
We have been extremely successful in placing our students in high quality jobs.
Some of the companies our students have been hired at include: TransAmerica, Amgen, Boeing, Farmer's Insurance, KPMG, City of Hope, Ingram Micro, Triad Financial, etc.
The M.S. in Applied Statistics at CSULB is designed for people who want to acquire advanced statistical knowledge to help them:
- get a job in industry or government
- further succeed in the company where they currently work
- get a job teaching at a community college
- go on for further advanced studies, i.e., a Ph.D. in Statistics
A person can go through our program either as a:
- Full-time student (2 or 3 courses a semester) and easily finish in 3 (or 4) semesters (i.e., 1 1/2 or 2 years)
OR as a - Part-time student (1 course, or sometimes 2 courses, a semester) going at your own pace.
