California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is concluding its 2007-08 academic year by graduating the largest-ever class in its 59-year history. A total of 8,225 students are expected to complete their bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degrees by year's end. Included in that number are graduates from the CSULB Department of Social Work. On Wednesday, May 28th, degrees were proudly conferred upon over 200 MSW students and over 50 BASW students who are now academically prepared to enter the field of social work. On behalf of Director, John Oliver and the entire faculty and staff of the CSULB Department of Social Work, we congratulate you on this significant milestone in your career and would like to officially welcome you to the profession. You’re now professional social workers.
