In addition to performing in numerous musical theater productions at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles, Mr. Grego has been active in the recording industry, playing for various films, commercials, and TV shows. He has played on Grammy-nominated recordings by the LA Master Chorale and Grammy-winning albums with the LA Opera. He attended the Music Academy of the West for two summers, where he studied with his principal teacher, Mitchell Lurie. Michael is currently on the faculty of the Bob Cole Conservatory at Cal State Long Beach and holds a Doctorate in Clarinet from USC.

Playing with SBCO under the baton of Maestro Ohyama has always been and continues to be one of the most gratifying musical experiences of my career. Ohyama, a superb musician in his own right, has worked to establish a chamber music type of collaboration between himself and the players, and amongst the players themselves. This collaboration consistently leads to a truly artistic and exceptionally high level of music making.
