Jazz Percussion + Vibraphone
Nick Mancini enjoys a reputation as one of L.A.’s most called-upon vibraphonists and bandleaders. He graduated cum laude from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music, and earned a masters degree from the Manhattan School of Music. As a bandleader, Nick has written, produced, and recorded two albums with his own band, The Nick Mancini Collective (Live: New York and N:OW), as well as records with Kitchen Sink (Everything But The...), Type II (Flexible Plan), and Racquel Roberts (the OurStage Grand Prize-winning The Secret of Christmas).
Nick regularly appears throughout Los Angeles as a leader, at such venues as The Baked Potato Club, The Jazz Bakery, Catalina Bar and Grill, Café Metropol, Steamers, and the Pasadena Jazz Institute. During his decade in the New York scene, Nick was a regular performer at Joe’s Pub, Birdland, Fez, Mercury Lounge, the Living Room, Cornelia Street Café, Detour and Jack’s Joint. Outside of NYC and LA, he has played extensively in Europe and upstate New York, in particular the Van Dyck in Schenectady, where he’s something of a hometown hero—if not a prodigal son.
