CR/NC: No upper division course used to satisfy major requirements, except English 317, and no course in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics may be taken CR/NC.
Single Subject Teaching Credential: Students in this major planning to enter the CSULB Teaching Credential program should elect MATH 341 rather than 347, take EDSS 300M as an “Elective” in the Junior year, choose as the four “Math Elective” courses MATH 310, 355, 381, and 410, and take MTED 411 as an “Elective” in the Senior year.
Minor in another discipline: The “Elective” units allow space for many minors in many other disciplines. Students contemplating a minor should begin planning early. Students may not minor in Applied Mathematics or in Mathematics with this major.
