Lane Igoudin & Linda Merlo - Conference Presentation & Publication
Two former linguistics graduate students Lane Igoudin (Graduated in Fall 2005) and Linda Merlo presented a paper they first developed for the Sociolinguistics Seminar in 2004 at the AERA conference in Montreal in 2005. The paper has been published in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies at Cal Poly Pomona. The title is gAsian-American Girls at the Crossroads of Language and Identityh and it has to do with the use of features of AAVE among Asian High School girls at a Southern California high school.
