Faculty and Staff

The Department is proud of the rich resources represented in our energetic faculty. Our dedicated teacher-scholars maintain standards of excellence in teaching, and have also been recognized nationally and internationally for their research. Further, we have recently added new faculty members who greatly strengthen our programs. The areas of Teaching English as a Second Language, Language Acquisition, Language Use, and Linguistic Anthropology are especially well represented. Ours is an eclectic department, and many professors participate in allied disciplines and are appointed jointly in other departments, including Teacher Education, Anthropology, Psychology, and English. Many faculty are also involved in language-related programs which are closely tied to the community.
