Dr. Robert Friis, Chairperson

Health Science Department

This semester, the graduate program is focusing on the accreditation site visit, which will be held on April 6 and 7, 2000. The site team vistiors will be interviewing program faculty, students, alumni, and other constituents as well as conducting an in-depth review of our self-study report. During the past two years, in advance of their visit, the department has conducted a detailed self-study of the graduate program. The preliminary program report was shared with department faculty, staff, and students as well as the graduate program's advisory board. A final report will be available on March 1, 2000.

Regarding other matters, the department has initiated a search for new faculty memeber for the fall 2000 semester. The search is progressing as scheduled with plans to review several finalists during the spring semester. An itinerary for each candidate will be posted in the department office.
