The Geography minor requires a minimum of 18 units, as follows:

Required Core: 9 units

Geography 140 (Introduction to Physical Geography)
One of the following two choices:
  • Geography 280 (Introduction to Geospatial Techniques)
  • Geography 380 (Map Interpretation and Analysis)
One of the following three choices:
  • Geography 100 (World Regional Geography)
  • Geography 120 (Geography of Human Diversity in the United States)
  • Geography 160 (Introduction to Human Geography)

Upper Division Minimum Requirement: (9 units selected in consultation with the advisor):

At least one Geography course taught at the 400 level (3-4 units)
At least two other Geography courses taught at the upper-division level (300 or 400 level) (6-8 units)
