Bedrock Controls on Water Quality 2009
Many different factors control the dissolved chemicals and nutrients found in
lakes and streams. One of these is the type of substrate (the local rock).
This project will compare major chemistries of several lakes and reservoirs
located on different bedrock.
Participants will work in canoes and must be able to swim.
NOTE: This project involves a 2 week field trip up the east side of the
Sierras. You must be able to accompany us for the entire 2 weeks if you
select this project.
Dr. Lora Stevens will lead this investigation.
