Tom McKnight and Joan Clemons Award for an Outstanding Student Paper, $250

Harry and Shirley Bailey Award for Outstanding Paper by a Ph.D. Student, $150

President's Award for Outstanding Paper by a Ph.D. Student, $150

President's Award for Outstanding Paper by a Master's Student, $150

President's Award for Outstanding Paper by an Undergraduate Student, $150

In order to be eligible, students must submit a short abstract (100-200 words), an extended abstract (1,250 words max), an awards competition application form, present the paper or poster at the conference, register for the conference, and be a member of the APCG. The Awards are open to undergraduate and graduate students. Papers may be co-authored if all authors are students. Evaluation is made by the APCG Awards Committee based on the extended abstract and the presentation. For guidelines and application forms, see the APCG website at the URL above, or contact:

Travel Grants Available

Travel grants of $150 each (or $50 for students who live in the Los Angeles area) are available for students who present papers or posters at the Long Beach Meeting. You do not have to be entered in the paper/poster competition to be eligible for a travel grant. Presenting a paper is enjoyable, academically stimulating, and students can receive valuable feedback on their research. Travel grants are designed to encourage student participation by helping with some of the costs. Grants will be made on a random drawing of all applications received by September 15, 2007, up to a limit of $3,000.
