Alison Hoffman-Han teaches courses in film and media theory and history. Her research and writing focuses on feminist media histories, alternative and international cinema practices, and minoritarian cultures and (self-)representations. Her publications have appeared in Film Quarterly, and the anthologies There She Goes: Feminist Filmmaking and Beyond, and Billy Wilder, Movie-Maker: Critical Essays on the Films. Dr. Hoffman-Han earned her Ph.D. in Cinema & Media Studies at UCLA.
