Drew Metz is a senior at California State University, Long Beach in the Film and Electronic Arts Production Option, focusing his field of study on Writing and Directing. Since the age of seven, Drew has considered himself as an artist and aspiring filmmaker.

Drew moved to Long Beach from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2006 to fulfill his deep passion to study film on an academic and professional level. His strongest inspirations come from an array of personas, including: George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock, Erich Fromm, Tupac Shakur, Martin Luther King, John Steinbeck, Mark Twain, Justin Lin, Stanley Kubrick, Robert De Niro, Federico Fellini, among many others.

As the Film and Electronic Arts Student Representative for the 2008-2009 school year, Drew's curricular services offer:

• Representing the student body at FEA chair meetings
• Voicing student concerns, desires and expectations in relation to their program/academics
• Presenting proposed student functions to the department
• Academic counseling and planning for graduation
• Peer advising for current and aspiring CSULB Film Students
