Alison R. Hoffman is completing her Ph.D. in Cinema and Media Studies at UCLA. Her forthcoming publications include "The Persistence of (Political) Feelings and Hand-Touch Sensibilities: Miranda July's Feminist Multimedia-Making" for the anthology (Un)Making the Cut: Feminism, Filmmaking, Fluidity, and "Shame and the Single Girl: Reviving Fran in Billy Wilder's The Apartment" for a collection on Wilder. Her other publications range from reviews in Film Quarterly to media policy reports for UCLA's Chicano Studies Research Center. Ms. Hoffman is also an independent film and video curator.
