Freshman Fall Advising
All freshman participate in Fall Freshman Advising to help you prepare to register for Spring classes. Advising begins in October with class registration taking place usually in December.
Through this process, you will meet with either your College/Department advisor or the University Center for Undergraduate Advising (UCUA). If you are a member of a special student program, you will continue to work with your Special Program advisor.
This connection is one of the most important steps to your future academic success at the Beach! We feel strongly about insuring you have advising as you prepare for your spring semester at CSULB so we require all freshmen to participate in the program before registering!
Look for an invitation via e-mail directing you to the right program for your Fall Freshman Advising. Please read it carefully to determine how to schedule your appointment for this very special event. Your registration appointment indicating the day and time you can register for Spring classes will be on MyCSULB in late October.
All Undeclared Students
BLC and Partners will be advised by UCUA/EOP
Student Athletes will be advised by BAC staff
International Freshmen will be advised by CIE staff
All Other Undeclared students register for a UCUA workshop
College of the Arts
BLC and Partners will be advised by UCUA/EOP
Student Athletes will be advised by BAC staff
International Freshmen will be advised by CIE staff
Art Department Majors will be advised by the Art Advising Center
All Design majors will be advised by the Design Undergraduate Advisor.
All Film and Electronic Arts Department Majors will be advised by the FEA.

International Freshmen will be advised by CIE staff
All Other CBA students register for a CBA workshop
