Understanding Your Financial Aid Offer: Paper Notice

If you received an email notification, read Understanding Your Financial Aid Offer.

Do you have access to MyCSULB?

YES

You can review and accept your awards online. Follow the steps listed on the Understanding Your Financial Aid Offer page. If it is your first time using MyCSULB for financial aid transactions, the "Using Finances and Aid" guide will be helpful to you.

NO

If you do not yet have access to MyCSULB, or prefer to accept your awards using the paper acceptance and loan request forms, follow the steps below.

  1. Review the awards you have been offered on your Financial Aid Award Notification. Look up each award on page two of the Money Guide to review the terms of each award.

  2. Respond to your award letter by following the Financial Aid Award Acceptance steps included in your packet.

  3. If you are borrowing for the first time at CSULB, we recommend you review the information about our preferred lender list and loan entrance workshop requirement prior to selecting a lender.

  4. If you will be accepting a Stafford Loan, be sure to complete the Federal Stafford Loan Request Form included in your packet.

  5. Review all of the information in the Money Guide to ensure you are a knowledgeable aid recipient. The general financial aid information on our website may also be helpful.
